Yenomi are closed species. What does this mean?
Yenomi are a closed species which means - while we cannot stop you from making unofficial, unrecognised yenomi - there are rules & regulations surrounding the creation of yenomi. Adult yenomi are not free to make, and must be obtained through the group.

Only officially recognised yenomi can participate in the community & group events. Owning a yenomi means you can meet other yenomi owners, make friends, and be part of a group that fosters creative growth and fun events!

How can I obtain a yenomi? Is paying the only way?
You can purchase yenomi with USD via auctions & sales hosted in the community. We also work very hard to make yenomi accessible without having to make real-currency payment! Yenomi can also be obtained by earning wishing stars in the community, through giveaways, group events & contests.

Starburst yenomi are free to make if you are a member of the group.

Can I be a part of the group & participate without a yenomi?
YES! Though it is likely much more fun to participate in the group if you have a yenomi, there are also many things you can do in the group without having to be an owner.


I've obtained a MYO slot. How do I use it?
To make your MYO Yenomi official, you will need to:
1. Design your Yenomi. You do not have to draw it yourself, you can get someone else to design it if you want to!
2. Send a note to the group so we can okay the design! Please include the Affinity and Tier of your Yenomi.
3. Once your design has been approved, you should submit a Registration Chart & notify the Masterlist!

Can I sell my MYO slot?
No. MYO slots can only be traded.


I want to change the design of my yenomi. Am I allowed to?
If you own an official adult yenomi, you are allowed to change colours, markings, etc! It is unlimited. You will need to note the group to approve changes, but generally we are really relaxed and most changes will be easily okayed!

If you own a Starburst Yenomi you will need to accumulate Wishing Stars and redeem them in the Treasury to change aspects of your Starburst's design.

Does the braid style of my yenomi have to stay the same?
No - like real hair, the ear braid style of your yenomi can change!

My Yenomi has wings. Do I have to draw them every time?
Not if you don't want to.

Do I have to draw my yenomi exactly the same/on-model every time?
No. Small variations between art is absolutely fine and encouraged!

Can I change the Affinity or Tier of my Yenomi?
Affinity, at the moment, cannot be changed. You can change the Tier of your Yenomi by redeeming Wishing Stars in the Treasury.

Are there any limitations on accessories for Yenomi?
Adult yenomi have no limitations. Starburst yenomi are only allowed one simple accessory until they grow up!
